Hi! I’m Tracey, and welcome to Wandering Minimalist.
I’m an aspiring long term traveller. Aspiring, because I haven’t yet gotten my arse into gear and sussed out a plan to get myself around the world. But I’m working on it. Currently I travel within the constraints of annual leave entitlements, which is just enough to cool the fire of wanderlust and keep me from going stir crazy.
When I do manage to get out into that big wide world, I like to travel as light as possible. I took a 20kg monstrosity on my first trip to Europe and, believe me, it was not a happy experience lugging that thing up 6 flights of stairs! Now I stick to carry-on only, regardless of trip length.
Minimalist travel has served me well while wandering the cities of Europe, exploring Egypt by camel-back (so uncomfortable!) and solo road tripping through the USA. Right now I’m working on streamlining my packing list even further and trying different materials and gear to see what works (and what doesn’t). I hope you’ll find what I have to say interesting and helpful in planning your own travels.
